Make sure you have a Kroger’s shopper card and register it on Kroger’s website here. If you do so, you’ll save even more as Kroger’s will send coupon mailers to you in the regular mail. Be patient, though, as it will take several months to get into their system.
RETURNS/LOST RECIEPT
Krogers is starting to get stricter on requiring receipts for returns. If you have lost your receipt, but charged it on a card, there is a helpline that will look up your reciept and fax or email a copy to you. I had them even fax a copy to one of their stores. That helpline number is 866-544-8062. Make sure you know the date of purchase as well as where you’d like it faxed or emailed before you call.
ADVERTISED SALES
Kroger sales in the Houston area run from Wednesday – Tuesday. They may run on alternate days in other regions so check your local store ad.
STORECARD SAVINGS
If you don’t already have a Kroger’s Plus card go to the Customer Service desk at your local Kroger store & get one! You can also apply online here. With the Kroger Plus card you can save money on Gas (if your store has a station) with their Fuel Points system. More importantly, you can only get the sale price on items if you have a Kroger Plus card!
DOUBLE OR TRIPLE COUPONS
Check your Weekly Ad to find your store’s policy. In general, Coupons for up to $.39 or less will be tripled in value. Any coupons between $.40 to $.5o will be doubled. Any coupons $.51 will be redeemed at face value. On several occasions I have been told that only 3 coupons on like items will be doubled (however, this isn’t in the official store policy – see below).
ELECTRONIC COUPONS
There are several eCoupon sites available to use at Kroger. You must register with each site and input your Kroger Plus Card information. It’s easy, you go to their websites, enroll your Kroger Plus Card, load your coupons and then the discounts are taken off your total at the register.
Active eCoupon sites are: Shortcuts, Cellfire and Kroger eCoupons (Softcoin)
* you can now download your Cellfire coupons most cell phones that can connect to the Internet!
STACKING REGULAR COUPONS WITH eCOUPONS
eCoupons do not double or triple. eCoupons from the Kroger Softcoin site are considered store coupons and can be stacked with newspaper or printable coupons. However, ecoupons from Cellfire or Shortcuts are considered manufacturer coupons and you aren’t supposed to use them with printed/newspaper coupons on the same items (technically ~ it usually works but it’s cheating).
RAIN CHECKS
Kroger offers Rain Checks on out of stock items. They are valid from 30 days from the date on the Rain Check.

We only accept printable coupons if they scan properly at checkout. We do not accept “FREE product” printable coupons, with no purchase requirement. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable but will be MUCH less common than traditional value-off coupons. We do not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value without advance notice. Legitimate PAH coupons will not be for a high value relative to the cost of the item. For example, a $2 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5 or more, but a $2 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate. Coupons will be rejected if they appear out of proportion or blurry, or are obvious duplicates. Legitimate PAH coupons are never copied, sold or traded. Nearly all coupons are “non-transferable” meaning they should not be photocopied or scanned and distributed to others. Coupons will be rejected if they appear to have been altered in any way. PAH coupons can be checked for validity at http://www.printcoupons.com.
