FYI, I was in CVS this afternoon picking up more free Sobe today (it’s on sale B1G1 again). After scanning in my purchases (bought 12 Sobe and other items), the cashier scanned my 6 Sobe B1G1 coupons. However, I thought the final total was too high. She doubled-checked and she confirmed 6 were scanned in. So I paid, but luckily checked my receipt before I left. The computer clearly scanned in 6 coupons and showed it on the top portion of the receipt, BUT I was actually credited for 5 coupons in the middle of the receipt. Interestingly enough, the store manager initially told me that his District Manager gave him a heads up as to this being the case and that it was correct (what is CVS thinking?). Though a tad miffed, I reminded the manager (nicely!) that they were going to submit the coupons for full reimbursement from the manufacturer and that I should get the full value. So they gave me cash to make up for the one coupon credit. I wonder what Pepsi (the Mfr of Sobe) would think about all this…..
This is smelling very like Target’s issues these days and I hope this isn’t a growing system or industry-wide problem. Make sure you check your reciepts everywhere!
Please let me know if you have any comments or have had something like this happen to you.
Thanks,
Cindy

Do you think that it has anything to do with the limit on the ad saying 6 for the Sobe’s? Just an idea…I only bought 6 and used 3 coupons and didn’t have a problem with that.
Hi Kim,
Thanks for your comment. In past CVS B1G1 deals that hasn’t been the case. For grins I tested the deal again last night but bought 10 Sobes and used 5 B1G1 coupons. The transaction went through smoothly with no problems at all. So I’m not sure what the prior problem was, but my antenna went up on the initial transaction when the store manager said that they knew that would happen. Who knows, so just check your receipts everytime at every store these days.
Have a great week!
Cindy
