Click HERE to read an article of the worldwide food crisis that’s unfolding. For the most part, we are blessed & fortunate here in the US not to experience such – though meat prices have been spiking. It is hard to imagine food shortages here in the States, but this is a strong argument for developing your families food stockpile in case of the ”what if scenarios” coming to fruition!
Boy ‘o boy, this is scary and we are truly blessed in the United States. Take heed as this is why couponing is so very important to reduce your grocery & consumables bills as much as possible building a stockpile. The holidays are over, but couponers always have somewhat of an extra supply of many things that can be donated to foodbanks and charities throughout the year. There are people going hungry in the US too! Click HERE to read the CNBC article.

I wish you all the best for a healthy, happy and prosperous 2011!

Okay, I just watched a preview of the couponing world’s highly anticipated Extreme Couponing Show on TLC. I am just about embarrassed at what these couponers are doing! What are they thinking of – NEVER would I ever go dumpster diving and NEVER EVER EVER would I put my children in one. I do stockpile to a degree, but it does not take up rooms or my garage. I truly sympathize with the need to save and the joy of the “hunt”, but come on!
The show should be fun and interesting to watch and atleast a couple of the couponers have good blogs or websites. However, please do not think that this is what most couponers are like! As the show’s title implies, they are the “extreme”.

Well I just read an article on cnbc.com that says the “foodwar” amongst retailers may be ending and that food inflation would help retailers who have deeply discounted during the recession. So prepare for prices and stockup as best as possible over the next few months. How I wish I had an extra freezer! Click HERE to read the full article.
